Common questions

How do I add friends?
Sparrow is invite-only. Create a group from the You tab, tap "Invite link" to generate a link, and send it to a friend. Anyone who taps the link joins your group and can see your trips.
How do I update my city?
Tap the round + button on the home screen and pick your new city. Updates are always manual — sparrow never moves you in the background.
How do I appear on the map?
Open You → Edit profile → toggle "Show me on the map". Your friends in shared groups will then see a pin for your current city. Off by default.
How do I report or block someone?
On any trip, event, group, or profile, tap the small "Report" control to flag content. On a friend's profile, tap the three-dot menu and choose "Block". Blocked users disappear from your map and feeds — and you disappear from theirs. We act on reports within 24 hours.
How do I delete my account?
Open You → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete account". This permanently removes your profile, trips, events, RSVPs, and group memberships. The action cannot be undone.
Push notifications aren't working
Open You → Notifications → tap the toggle. Make sure sparrow is allowed to send notifications in iOS Settings → Sparrow → Notifications. If pushes still don't arrive, email us with your iOS version.
