Terms of service

Last updated: April 30, 2026

sparrow is a small social app for staying in touch with friends about where you are and where you're heading. By creating an account or using the app, you're agreeing to these terms. They're short on purpose — read them once and you'll know what to expect.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 years old to use sparrow. You sign in with Google or Apple, so keeping that account secure is on you — anyone who can sign into your Google or Apple account can sign into sparrow as you. One person per account, please. Don't share access with someone else, and don't create an account on behalf of anyone who isn't you.

Acceptable use

While using sparrow, please don't:

What you post

You keep ownership of everything you create — your profile, trip notes, events, anything you write into the app. By using sparrow you grant us the limited right to display your content to your group-mates the way the app is meant to work (e.g. showing your upcoming trip on a friend's home screen). You can edit or delete your content from inside the app at any time.

Changes to sparrow

sparrow is small and evolving. We may add features, change how existing ones work, or remove things that aren't pulling their weight. If we're going to remove something a lot of people rely on, we'll let you know before it happens.

Suspending or closing accounts

If an account is breaking these terms — especially the acceptable-use rules above — we may suspend or close it. You can close your account any time by emailing the address below; we'll wipe it within 7 days (same process as the privacy page describes for deletion).

No warranty, limited liability

sparrow is provided as-is. We do our best, but we can't guarantee uptime, data preservation, or that the app will fit any particular purpose. We're not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, missed connections, etc.) caused by using or not being able to use sparrow. Don't use sparrow for anything life-or-death — it's a casual social app, not safety-critical infrastructure.

Disputes & governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law (the developer is based in Belgium). If you have a problem, please email us first — we'll try to sort it out in good faith. Courts are a last resort.
